Intro
Our wedding day is the 4th May 2024. Before you ask, no, we haven’t seen Star Wars, and yes, we do know Tottenham are playing Liverpool.
The ceremony will be at St Peter’s Church, at 1pm, followed by an evening reception at the Italian Villa, Compton Acres.
Children are very welcome, though we cannot promise Lucy will have prepared any work for them!
We cannot wait to see you all and celebrate with you.
Logistics
We are getting married at St Peter’s Church, Parkstone, BH14 0NN. This is in the Ashley Cross area, and whilst there is some limited on street parking around the church, our recommendation is to park in the main Commercial Road Car Park, BH14 8BE. From here it’s a short 2min walk to the church. If you happen to arrive early, there are plenty of establishments nearby!
From St Peter’s, we are then heading only a short distance away to Compton Acres, specifically the Italian Villa. The address is 164 Canford Cliffs Road, Poole, BH13 7ES. However, it is also sign-posted, and will come up when entered in Google Maps (or similar!). At Compton Acres there is only a limited amount of parking available on site, so unless specifically informed, please can you park on the road around the area. This is all free, and there are many spaces on both Canford Cliffs Road, Lilliput Road and Spencer Road. All are no more than 5minutes walk away.
In the event of bad weather, it is possible to pull up close to the church, and into the main Compton Acres car park…but fingers crossed we do not have to worry about that!
Accomodation
There are a few local hotels near to the venue, or some further afield in both Bournemouth and Poole, if required.
The Canford: www.thecanford.co.uk - This is a pub with rooms, available within walking distance of the venue. It only has 11 rooms, so if you are interested we recommend booking early given it is a bank holiday weekend, but you will only be moments from the beach.
Premier Inn West Cliff, Bournemouth - most are probably familiar with a Premier Inn! This is a recently built flavour, set again very close to the beach and cliff top, and only a short walk into Bournemouth. Good if you are driving, as it has affordable car parking also, and a short taxi from the venue.
Of course, there are many options across Bournemouth and Poole, and do let us know if you are planning on making a bank holiday weekend of it.
Food
The main event, right?! For our wedding breakfast we are hoping to create a more relaxed atmosphere, where all can enjoy themselves. We’ll be having a sharing style meal, where salads and sides will be available on the tables, and other items will be served at the table.
If you have any specific dietary requirements (including vegan!) please let us know in the RSVP section below and we will ensure that there will be plenty for you!
Gifts
We are thrilled to have so many of you joining us, and without bigging you all up TOO much, it really is your presence and making the effort to be with us that is enough of a gift.
However, we recognise that some will enjoy the option to give us a physical gift as part of our first step into married life, and as such we’ve created a small gift list below, and we are so grateful for any gifts
